Until recently, electric cars were seen as a luxury item with limited practical application. However, things are significantly different now, and electric mobility has become the preferred mode of transportation for many consumers.

The evolution of electric cars is visible in many ways. While sales data vary widely depending on the region, the reality is that this type of vehicle has a significant market penetration globally. This is explained, among other things, by the growing interest of potential consumers in learning more about electric cars. Something that has been made evident by the findings of a study conducted by Lease Fetcher, which reflects the searches performed by internet users in 2021 in connection to electric cars.

It is not unexpected that the electric car brand par excellence, Tesla, stars in the top positions in the two rankings that we will show you below since it is widely acknowledged as the apparent reference in this automotive industry. But there are many more electric car manufacturers who pique the interest of Internet users and potential consumers; do you want to learn about them all?

The electric vehicles of the future that piqued our curiosity.

We begin with electric cars that have not yet been released to the market but have already piqued the interest of internet users. The first two are two Tesla cars, the Tesla Roadster and the Tesla Cybertruck, which were supposed to be released this year but delayed.

For a long time, nothing was known about Apple's electric car, which, in principle, would be released in 2024 and will have autonomous driving. Still, interest in it is high, with about six million individuals in 2021.

Other electric cars, like the BMW i4, the recently unveiled Nissan Ariya, the Rimac Nevera, and the Mercedes EQE (which will be available as an electric sedan and as an electric SUV), have also gained a lot of attention in recent months.
