At the Turin Auto Show (19-23 June), Nissan is presenting the 100% electric Nissan LEAF NISMO RC race car for the first time in Italy.
Nissan LEAF NISMO RC developed by Nissan Motorsport will make its debut in Italy, which combines the Nissan Intelligent Mobility philosophy for sustainability and the evolution of mobility with the performance of the NISMO division.
Nissan will talk about the latest technological developments in the field of electric mobility, which implement the Nissan Intelligen Mobility strategic roadmap divided into three pillars: Intelligent Driving, Intelligent Power and Intelligent Integration.
Among these is the Vehicle to Grid (V2G) technology, through which the car becomes capable not only of absorbing energy from the network while it is being recharged but also of returning it.
In this way the electric car concretely helps to balance the national electricity grid, to optimize the consumption of energy produced through discontinuous renewable sources (solar and wind) and gives an economic benefit to the owners of electric cars.
At Parco Valentino, visitors can try the Nissan LEAF on the road. They will also be able to try Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies including the e-Pedal, the system that accelerates, brakes and stops the vehicle using a single pedal.
The racing car incorporates high-capacity lithium-ion battery technology and the inverter from the standard Nissan LEAF, the world's best-selling 100% electric vehicle with over 410,000 units sold.
The new Nissan LEAF NISMO RC is powered by two electric motors located at opposite ends of the chassis. Together they generate a combined power of 240 kilowatts (120 kW each) and provide the wheels with instantaneous torque of 640 Nm. The maximum power and torque delivery are more than doubled compared to the previous version of LEAF NISMO RC, launched in 2011.
The first electric car produced in Turkey will have a range of 500 km and will be launched in the second half of 2022. Industry Minister Mustafa Varank declared this to journalists. A prototype will be shown at the end of this year. Continue reading
