Ford announces the introduction on the market of the new Focus with the 1.0 EcoBoost Mild-Hybrid engine for greater efficiency and can be ordered, right now, throughout Europe.

Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid is equipped with 48-volt Mild-Hybrid engine capable of delivering 155hp of power and lowering CO2 emissions to just 93 g / km. The US manufacturer says that the engine is up to 17% more fuel-efficient than a 150 hp EcoBoost with a six-speed manual transmission.

The new Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost Mild-Hybrid 155 HP offers twice the power performance of a 2.0 petrol 145 HP engine, available for Focus only 10 years ago, but with a 45% improvement in fuel efficiency. The positioning of the battery under the front passenger seat made it possible to guarantee no loss of load space and for the occupants.

The mild-hybrid versions of the Focus also receive a 12.3-inch digital display inside, which provides specific information about the state of the micro-hybrid system. For the ST-Line and Active versions, Focus will receive, among other standard features, the Keyless Entry function.

New Focus EcoBoost hybrid will be available on the SUV-inspired Focus Active and the sporty Focus ST-Line.

Ford announces that by the end of the year, the FordPass Connect system will include the Local Hazard Information function, which notifies the driver about the road events on its route.

After the Kuga, Puma and Fiesta, the compact becomes the fourth model in Ford's portfolio to receive mild-hybrid versions.
