The Geely Galaxy Light Concept, a sophisticated sedan with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain and advanced artificial intelligence, stands out among the vehicles in this class. The Geely Galaxy Light Concept car and the Geely Galaxy L7 SUV were introduced at a showpiece event on February 23, 2023, in Hangzhou, China. Geely Galaxy, the company's new line of electrified products, promises to provide premium mid-range consumers with the greatest intelligent and electrified automobiles available.

Geely's vision for the future of mobility includes vehicles that are not only smart and connected but also fuel-efficient and environmentally benign, as seen in the Geely Galaxy Light Concept. The concept car's futuristic design combines rounded and sharp contours for a sleek and stylish finish. The coupe-like roofline gradually drops to the short rear decklid in the side view. LED taillights stretching over the vehicle's entire back and a diffuser housing dual exhaust outlets characterize the vehicle's rear end.

The Geely Galaxy Light Concept boasts an equally remarkable interior, with a roomy and comfortable cabin that can fit up to four people. The central touchscreen display operates most of the car's features, making for a sleek and simple dashboard. Climate control and mode switches are also touch-sensitive and located on the center console. Seats come with adjustable headrests and lumbar support and are upholstered in high-quality leather. The steering wheel may be used for various purposes and even incorporates paddle shifters for manual transmission.

You should know that an electric motor drives each axle. At the same time, a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is used as a range extender in the Geely Galaxy Light Concept's plug-in hybrid powertrain. In terms of performance, the system is capable of producing up to 300 hp (224 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, which allows the vehicle to go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and up to 200 km/h (124 mph). An electric-only range of up to 100 km is possible thanks to the battery pack's projected 20 kWh capacity (62 miles). With the gas engine included, the cruising distance can exceed 800 km (497 miles).

The Geely Galaxy Light Concept car also has a lot of brains thanks to its high-tech safety, comfort, fun, and communication functions. To name a few, we have:
- A cloud-based platform connecting drivers and passengers to various online services and applications.
- A facial recognition system that can identify drivers and passengers and adjust settings. - A voice assistant that can respond to natural language commands and queries.
- A Level 3 autonomous driving system that can take over steering, acceleration, and braking under certain conditions.

As a preview of what to expect from the future Galaxy series, the Geely Galaxy Light Concept is more than just a concept car. According to An Conghui, president of Geely Auto Group, "the debut of our new high-end electrified vehicle line represents another milestone in our transformation into becoming one of China's leading global mobility technology organizations." Moreover, he said, "the new products will be built on our global development skills, which integrate resources from Volvo Cars Group, Lotus Cars, Lynk & Co International, Polestar, Terrafugia, Volocopter GmbH, Farizon Auto Co., Ltd., and others."

Seven Geely Galaxy series models will be introduced in China over the next two years. There will be three fully electric cars and four plug-in hybrids available. The Geely E-series will consist of electric vehicles, and the L-series will use plug-in hybrids as its backbone. The Aegis battery safety system, the NordThor Hybrid 8848 powertrain, and the Galaxy N-OS smart vehicle operating system are just some of the cutting-edge innovations that Geely plans to incorporate into the series.

As a symbol of Geely's aspiration to become a worldwide leader in electric mobility, the Geely Galaxy Light Concept car is a rising star. The concept vehicle appeals to discerning clients who place a premium on quality, efficiency, and innovation because of its combination of breathtaking design with exceptional performance and intelligence. The concept car also provides a glimpse of the variety of electrified vehicles Geely plans to offer as part of the Galaxy series. Geely is well equipped to take on the difficulties and seize the prospects of the electrified era, thanks to its global development skills and new Galaxy series.
