Kia has steadily expanded its range of hybrid and electric vehicles over the past few years and today is one of the world's leading suppliers of electrified electric vehicles.

Kia starts selling the updated versions of the Niro Hybrid and the Niro Plug-in Hybrid presented at the Geneva Motor Show. The 2020 year model of both car types can now be ordered at prices starting at € 26,990 (Niro Hybrid in the basic version Edition 7) or € 33,990 (Niro Plug-in Hybrid) and arrive at the dealers at the end of July.

Included in the purchase price is the 7-year Kia manufacturer's warranty, which also applies to the battery.

The 4.36-meter long crossover is powered in both variants by a modern parallel hybrid system with 104 kW (141 hp).

It combines a 1.6-litre GDi (gasoline direct injection) engine (emission standard Euro 6d-Temp), twinned with either a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack (Niro Hybrid models) or 8.9 kWh (for Plug-in Hybrid models) and a six-speed dual-clutch transmission with different electric drives.

Kia Niro combines ecology and practical crossover qualities. It, therefore, has plenty of space in the interior and a generous luggage space (hybrid: 436 liters, plug-in: 324 liters).

The exterior design of the Niro Hybrid and the Niro PHEV has also been modified in line with the new e-Niro.

A wide range of modern assistance technologies ensures maximum safety as well as stress-free, comfortable driving.

Depending on the version and model variant, this includes the traffic jam assistant, an adaptive speed control system with stop-and-go function, front collision warning with pedestrian recognition, lane keeping and lane change assistant, cross traffic alarm, fatigue warning, traffic sign recognition, and high beam assistant.
