Hyundai has just unveiled its latest creation, the all-new KONA, and it is bigger, bolder, and more exclusive than ever before. The new Hyundai KONA boasts a significant redesign, exceptional attention to low air resistance, and an innovative Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system. The result is a more aerodynamic, spacious, and advanced vehicle, expected to hit the market in the second half of 2023.

Let's take a closer look at what sets the 2023 Hyundai KONA apart from its predecessor.

A New Design That Makes a Statement

The new Hyundai KONA has undergone a significant design overhaul, resulting in a far more streamlined and aerodynamic vehicle. The design team paid special attention to low air resistance, resulting in a Cd value of just 0.27 for the KONA Electric. The proportions of the new Hyundai KONA have also increased in size, making it more spacious and comfortable for passengers. For instance, the Hyundai KONA Electric EV variant is now 4,355 mm long, which is 175 mm longer than the previous generation, and 25 mm wider at 1,825 mm. The height has also increased by 20 mm, bringing the total to 1,575 mm.

Introducing the ccNC System

The new Hyundai KONA will be the first model from Hyundai to feature the ccNC system, which offers drivers and passengers a new and innovative operating concept. This system enables Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, allowing customers to download individual applications to make the KONA even more digital. The system also features a digital key, which can unlock, lock, and even start the car. The key can be shared between three users' smartphones, allowing family members to use the car without having to exchange a physical key.

Improved Range and Performance

Despite the new KONA's increased size and weight, the engineers behind this electric car have succeeded in improving the range. The 65.4 kWh battery gives a range of up to 490 km on the new Hyundai KONA Electric. This is an impressive feat, given that the car has grown considerably in size.

An N-Line for Petrol and Electric Versions

The new Hyundai KONA will be launched as a petrol car first, with the electric version following shortly after. For the first time, the new Hyundai KONA will also be launched as an N-Line in both petrol and electric versions. The KONA N-Line will feature sporty enhancements and upgrades, including a distinctive front grille, unique wheels, and a sporty interior.

The all-new Hyundai KONA has been designed with drivers and passengers in mind. It is bigger, more spacious, and more advanced than its predecessor. The new design is streamlined and aerodynamic, and the ccNC system offers a unique operating concept. The improved range is impressive, and launching an N-Line for both petrol and electric versions is exciting news for car enthusiasts. With the all-new KONA, Hyundai has once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and excellence in the automotive industry. @via Hyundai.
