The iconic MG, an acronym for Morris Garage, has been given a second life since it passed into Chinese hands. Since its official launch last July 17, MG has received 1,000 reservations for the new MG ZS EV.

One of the main reasons for its success is its price, which starts at 23,500 euros, making it one of the most affordable electric cars in the market.

This sale price is possible thanks to the British government's incentives to buy an electric car, which amounts to 3,800 euros, plus another 3500 euros that MG puts out of its pocket. In total, about 7,600 euros of total discount in the United Kingdom.

The first thousand customers will be given a free Wallbox to charge the car at home.

The MG ZS EV electric SUV is equipped with a  44.5 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery, liquid-cooled, which gives it an autonomy of 262 kilometers (in WLTP cycle). The engine has a power of 143 hp and a maximum torque of 353 Nm, which gives it a maximum speed of 140 km / h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.5 seconds.

The MG ZS EV comes generously equipped and features the MG Pilot driving assistance package, adaptive cruise control, infotainment system with eight-inch touch screen (compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), navigator, 17-inch wheels and a six-year warranty for both the battery and the car.

The first deliveries of the new MG ZS EV will start next September.

The MG ZS EV SUV was launched last July 17 at the London Motor Show.
