Even Porsche enters the era of electric mobility and does so in line with its style. The new Taycan, which was presented at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, has nothing to envy of the other models of the German car manufacturer with thermal propulsion. The performance offered by the brand's first all-electric sports car is highly respected. Let's look at its features in detail.

The new Porsche Taycan will be available in two versions: Turbo and Turbo S. It is based on an unprecedented 800 Volt power supply - that of a traditional electric machine at 400 Volts - and under the hood hides an electric motor capable of delivering a maximum power of 560 kW (we are talking about 760 horses) for the Taycan Turbo S is 500 kW (about 680 horsepower) for the Taycan Turbo.

For both, the maximum reachable speed is 260 kilometers per hour. It goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds with the Turbo S and in 3.2 seconds with the Turbo. In short, the new zero-emission Taycan promises to give great satisfaction.

As for the autonomy, Taycan Turbo is equipped with a lithium-ion battery that allows you to travel 412 kilometers, which become 450km for the Turbo S, with Wltp (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles) approval. Thanks to the 800 Volt power supply system, it takes just over five minutes, using a high-power direct-current charging network, to guarantee a range of 100 kilometers. With a maximum recharge power of 270 kW, it takes just over 22 minutes to change from a charge level of 5% to 80%.

There are also many innovations regarding interior design. Porsche wanted to do it big, with a fully digitized dashboard and a curved 16.8-inch screen protected by an anti-glare glass.

Among the characteristic elements of the Taycan, we point out the taillight, consisting of a single light bar that extends in width along the back of the car.

However, the new Porsche Taycan, being a luxury car, is not for everyone. The list price starts at 157 thousand euros for the Taycan Turbo and rises to almost 191 thousand euros for the most powerful Turbo S.
