We find on board the electric 208 the same mechanics as that introduced aboard the DS 3 Crossback e-tense. Placed at the front, the electric motor delivers up to 100 kW (136 horsepower) and 260 Nm of torque. The e-208 has a range of 340 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.

In terms of performance, the Peugeot e-208 speeds up to 150 km / h and sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.1 seconds.

The new Peugeot 208 combines an onboard charger of 11 kW to a fast charging system in Combo CCS able to tolerate up to 100 kW. The e-208 recharges using a classic domestic plug-in in about 20 hours but its battery can recharge up to 80% in 30 minutes from a 100kW charging station.

The Peugeot 208 electric city car will be launched in autumn 2019. Still, it's price has not been disclosed, but it is hard to imagine a price below 30,000 euros excluding bonuses ecological.

Despite the initial risk of this dive in the electric market, Peugeot seems to have done it at the right time. This new Peugeot e-208 is a real success since it represents about 75% of pre-orders for the new 208, which are online since last month.
