The French startup Newron Motors has presented an extravagant electric motorcycle called EV-1. Initially, a small series of twelve copies is planned, which should be delivered from 2021.

The EV-1 electric motorcycle is particularly striking in that its battery is a central part of the chassis. The electric motor also stands out - also embedded in a cylindrical shape - under the deep seat.

The 75 kW / 100 hp and 240 Newton meter electric motor is to accelerate the 220-kilogram EV-1 to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 220 km / h. The lithium-ion battery, which is not specified in more detail, allows a range of 250 to 300 kilometres. The battery can be quickly charged via CCS, according to the French website.

Equipped with GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, EV-1 offers assistance and links with its owner through their smartphone. Newron’s App keeps the user united with their vehicle and monitors every aspect of it.

A simple interface offers a clear, easy navigation through informations and gives the best driving experience. With this data, the driver is sure to enjoy the bike at its best and can set every detail to readjust their driving: adapting shocks, bike’s power, driving modes, battery level check, remaining charge duration. Using the EV-1’s position, the driver can access every past journey and share it with their community of riders.

Price: approximately 60,000 euroYou can reserve yours with a 2,000 € deposit, refundable at any time by demand. Pre-order here newronmotors.com.
