Zero Motorcycles has some advice if you're considering switching to high-performance electric motorcycles. And it is for this reason that the Californian company, one of the industry's pioneers, has now released photographs of the magnificent ZERO SR-X - a spectacularly designed conceptual prototype.

Mechanically, they have been simple enough, and they have fitted a Zero SR/S system. This system assumes the installation of an 82 kW (112 hp) engine and 190 Nm of torque, allowing it to attain acceleration capable of improving Tesla Model 3 Performance times, all with a 17.3 kWh battery (15.2 kWh useable) and a combined autonomy of 229 kilometers.

Zero's most recent innovation is part of the DESIGN THE FUTURE development initiative. This initiative brings together some of the industry's greatest designers, engineers, and the Zero Motorcycles team to push the limits of what is possible in the electric motorcycle business.

Bill Webb is one of the design's heroes. He was in charge of designing the popular FXE motorcycle and its predecessor. The ZERO SR-X electric bike is the latest manifestation of his imaginative design and Zero's commitment to innovation.

The ZERO SR-X concept bike, which will not be produced for now, has a semi-faired body that results in a model that ideally balances performance and style. According to its designers, this concept attempts to define a new subcategory for high-performance electrics between a streetfighter and a circuit motorcycle: aerodynamic performance and partial fairings with a genuine street attitude.

"The ZERO SR-X strives to achieve a design balance for the near future of electric motorcycles, blending clean lines and rigorous design cues with an aggressive attitude and similar high-performance feel similar to modern sports motorcycles," says Bill Webb, Executive Director of BIG Design. This model aims to define a new subcategory of high-performance electrics, somewhere between a streetfighter and a track bike.

Whether Zero Motorcycles will bring this stunning SR-X electric bike, which looks like something out of an anime film, onto the market remains to be seen. A great marriage of design and performance for a motorcycle that will generate a lot of buzzes and, we believe, will reach the market. @via Zero motorcycles.
