Volkswagen is set to launch its new all-electric flagship model in the ID. family on April 17, and the countdown has officially begun. The new ID.7 will be launched in the upper middle class in Europe, China, and North America, and it promises to be a game-changer for electric cars.

Designed for long-distance driving, the ID.7 is equipped with a specially developed electric drive that significantly increases efficiency and effect. The range of this new model is estimated to be up to 700 km (WLTP), making it very suitable for frequent drivers and business customers. Volkswagen is also planning to increase the share of electric models to 80 percent in Europe by the year 2030, and the ID.7 is an important milestone on this path.

One of the most impressive features of the VW ID.7 is its newly developed electric motor, which is the most powerful and torquey motor in an ID. model to date. The power unit has been optimized for energy consumption, and the charging capacity can reach up to 200 kW. Thanks to these upgrades, the ID.7 promises a smooth and efficient driving experience for long journeys.

But it's not just the electric drive that has been improved. The chassis and interior of the ID.7 have been designed with a focus on high ride comfort, and the car's driving dynamics manager for long journeys have been further improved. The new chassis control DCC (optional) offers a wide spread between comfort and sportiness, and the newly developed progressive steering ensures precise driving characteristics and maximum stability.

The interior of the ID.7 is spacious and high-class, offering plenty of space for both front and rear passengers. The driver's seat has received a completely new design, and the size of the classic instruments has been significantly reduced. All necessary standard information and warnings are displayed behind the steering wheel in the ID. cockpit. The driver also receives important information via a Head-up Display (HUD) with augmented reality (standard).

The heart of the display and operating concept is the standard-fitted infotainment display in the ID.7. Based on customer feedback, the air conditioning has been permanently integrated on the front level, and the touch slider controls below the screen are fully illuminated for ease of driving in the dark. There are also freely configurable buttons for direct access.

In addition to the individual settings, the driver and front passenger can activate an automatic mode for the seat climate, where the temperature and humidity sensors regulate cooling and heating. Volkswagen has also developed a new generation of driver and passenger seats that offer up to 14 electrical adjustment options and a completely new massage function.

The world premiere of the ID.7 will take place on April 17, including in Stockholm. Less than two weeks before the launch, the camouflaged version of the ID.7 is still undergoing final test drives around Alicante in Spain. According to Kai Grünitz, a member of Volkswagen's management team responsible for the development, the combination of a unique drive system, comfortable chassis, and long-range make the Volkswagen ID.7 the perfect car for long journeys.

The Volkswagen ID.7 is a top-of-the-line electric car designed for long journeys, offering a smooth and efficient driving experience, high ride comfort, and a spacious and high-class interior. With its innovative technology and high-quality impression, the ID.7 takes the ID. family to a new level and positions itself as an electric long-distance car in the upper middle class.
