We find on board the electric 208 the same mechanics as that introduced aboard the DS 3 Crossback e-tense. Placed at the front, the electric motor delivers up to 100 kW (136 horsepower) and 260 Nm of torque. The e-208 has a range of 340 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.

In terms of performance, the Peugeot e-208 speeds up to 150 km / h and sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.1 seconds.

The new Peugeot 208 combines an onboard charger of 11 kW to a fast charging system in Combo CCS able to tolerate up to 100 kW. The e-208 recharges using a classic domestic plug-in in about 20 hours but its battery can recharge up to 80% in 30 minutes from a 100kW charging station.

Peugeot 208 electric will be launched in autumn 2019. Still, it's price has not been disclosed, but it is hard to imagine a price below 30,000 euros excluding bonuses ecological.

Despite the initial risk of this dive in the electric market, Peugeot seems to have done it at the right time. This new e-208 is a real success since it represents about 75% of pre-orders for the new 208, which are online since last month.
