The new Volvo EX90 is an electric SUV with 7 seats and cutting-edge features

A new electric era is starting with the Volvo EX90. Volvo has announced that beginning today, they will introduce a new all-electric vehicle annually. The goal is to be carbon neutral by 2040 and produce only electric cars by 2030.

The Volvo EX90 electric SUV is a testament to Volvo's design philosophy of "form follows function" with its timeless Scandinavian aesthetic. The Volvo EX90 is a luxurious family vehicle with cutting-edge features that improve the car's performance, fuel economy, and looks.

The Volvo EX90 has the highest standard safety features compared to other Volvo vehicles. The electric car was built with the driver and the environment in mind. It's not just about the people inside the automobile but also those outside the car who need to feel secure.

The car is equipped with Volvo's cutting-edge sensor technology to regulate an invisible safety shield on the inside and outside at all times. The electric car's control system is linked to several sensors like cameras, radar, and LiDAR. NVIDIA DRIVE AI operates Volvo's internal software and gives you a 360-degree view in real-time.

Volvo's sensors are immune to fatigue and distraction. It is programmed to take action if you lose focus for a second or respond too slowly. If you're traveling at night or high speeds on the highway, the LiDAR sensor will still be able to see the road ahead. It can see hundreds of meters ahead of you and provide the driver enough warning to avoid collisions.

Cameras and sensors installed inside the automobile can determine how intently you focus on the road. Volvo's in-house algorithms trigger them. With this tech installed, the Volvo EX90 electric SUV can tell if its driver is daydreaming, tired, or not paying attention. This is a cutting-edge innovation that has never before been offered on a Volvo. The automobile gives a gentle warning at first, then a more stern one later. It's also valuable in the improbable event that the driver suddenly becomes unconscious or falls asleep at the wheel. In this situation, the car's innovative technology will automatically bring it to a halt and initiate a rescue.

Regarding potential self-driving capabilities, the Volvo EX90 electric SUV is the first Volvo to incorporate the necessary hardware just like Polestar 3. The new Volvo EX90 is more than just a car—essentially, it's a mobile supercomputer. Like a smartphone or laptop, the Volvo EX90 may be updated with new features and bug fixes from the cloud.

With Qualcomm's NVIDIA DRIVE AI platforms Xavier and Orin powering the Volvo EX90's control system and Volvo's software developers at the helm, the EX90 is a technological marvel. The central computer controls everything from the car's safety features to its entertainment options and battery management.

Epic Games' Unreal Engine is a powerful 3D tool used to create some of the most popular video games in the world. It is being integrated into the car using the Qualcomm Snapdragonâ Cockpit platform. In this manner, the software in the automobile is super-fast, and the visuals in the dashboard displays are top-notch.

The infotainment system in the Volvo EX90 features a 14.5-inch screen. Its foundation in Google Automotive offers access to many Google products and services, such as the hands-free assistance of Google Assistant, turn-by-turn navigation with Google Maps, and the convenience of Google Play. The Volvo EX90's many displays allow drivers to maintain their eyes on the road by delivering timely data. In addition, Apple CarPlay can be used wirelessly in the Volvo EX90.

Intuitive navigation and streamlined app installation are two perks of today's 5G networks. The innovative Bowers & Wilkins sound system with Dolby Atmos is the first in a Volvo and allows you to stream your favorite tunes. Twenty-five speakers are wired to the system throughout the cabin, and additional speakers are built into the back of the front seats and the back of the headrests for a more immersive listening experience.

Standard on every Volvo EX90 electric SUV is their innovative phone-key technology. If your car supports this feature, you can use your phone as your key. As you get closer to the vehicle, it will unlock, play a welcome video, and set itself up according to your preferences.

The Volvo EX90 makes charging your vehicle simple. Plug & Charge, the car's built-in public charging system, gives drivers access to hundreds of charging stations across the country and worldwide. You may pay for charging and monitor its progress in a similarly straightforward interface. Your car's Google Maps app can see which charging stations are available. The potential for rapid charging is another area of focus for Volvo.

The Volvo EX90 has two-way charging technology, in addition to Plug & Charge, that lets you utilize the car's battery to power your home or other electronic devices. The first Volvo to have the requisite hardware for bidirectional charging is the EX90.

The Volvo app's intelligent charging capabilities make it simple to see when charging your Volvo EX90 will have the most negligible impact on the environment and your wallet. In addition, the car may be charged in either direction, allowing you to take advantage of the low cost of electricity when it is available and then use the stored energy when prices rise. The Volvo EX90 makes managing your finances easier while being kind to the planet.

The Volvo EX90's interior and exterior feature sleek, aerodynamic designs seamlessly incorporate the car's sophisticated and innovative features. The car's interior is made entirely of natural materials, reflecting Volvo's goal of carbon neutrality by the year 2040.

25% of the Volvo EX90's frame is made from recycled aluminum, while 15% of the steel used in its construction is recycled. About 15% of the plastic used in the vehicle is recycled plastic, and 48 kilograms of bio- and recycled plastics have been incorporated. To date, this is Volvo's most significant percentage of recycled plastic.

If you're a conscientious parent looking for a family vehicle, go no further than the Volvo EX90 electric SUV. On the WLTP test cycle, EX90 offers a maximum range of 600 kilometers per charge. The fast charging speed is up to 250 kWh, and it can charge from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes. While at 11 kWh and 16A, the standard speed is 11 hours.

Two electric motors and a 111 kWh battery drive the wheels of both the Twin and Twin Performance launch models. The Twin model produces 300 kW (408 hp) and 770 NM of torque, while the Performance model generates 380 kW (517 hp) and 910 NM.

The price for the Volvo EX90 Twin variant with 408 hp is 128,000 euros.

For the Volvo EX90 Twin Performance variant with 517 hp, the price is 136,000 euros.

In 2023, Volvo EX90 assembly lines will open in the United States. @via Volvo cars.
