A new electric SUV is coming from the USA. Triton Model H develops 1,500 hp and promises an electric range of 1,100 km.

Triton is a newcomer to the automotive world, being a subsidiary of the Triton-Solar company and dealing with the production of solar modules and batteries. Himanshu Patel, the owner of the company, is of Indian origin and launched an electric racing car in India in 2017.

The first model of the Triton range is called the Model H and is a full-size electric SUV. It does not exist physically yet, the photos are only of a virtual model but can be booked against an advance of $ 5,000.

Rumours advertise an incredible towing weight from 7 to 12 tons. Technical specifications will include adaptive air suspension and active aerodynamics. Inside, the luxury model that will offer 8 seats, will have an entertainment system for the seats on the second row. The maximum luggage volume reaches 5,700 litres.

The base price will start at $ 140,000 for the standard 1,000 hp version while the top version will cost from $ 180,000. A ten-year warranty or 150,000 miles is offered.

The official release date has not been announced but a special 100 Founder's Edition limited to 100 units will be offered before launch.

Triton intends, in addition, an electric sports model called Triton F4 which will be presented later. Model H will be produced in the US while F4 will be produced in India.

It remains to be seen whether Triton will be able to introduce the two models in series production and whether sales will allow sustainable development of this new manufacturer on the map of electric cars.
