Volkswagen introduced three new electric concept vehicles at Auto Shanghai 2025: ID. AURA, ID. ERA, and ID. EVO. These models reflect the company's focus on electrification, intelligent technology, and design tailored to the Chinese market.

ID. AURA: Compact Electric Sedan with AI Integration

The ID. AURA, developed with FAW-Volkswagen, is a compact electric sedan designed for the A-segment. Built on the new Compact Main Platform (CMP), it features zonal electronic architecture and AI-based systems for highly automated driving.

The interior includes a smartphone-like UI/UX concept and a humanoid AI assistant for control of vehicle functions and infotainment.

Strategic Expansion in China
