The new Alfa Romeo SUV, presented as a surprise during the last Geneva Motor Show, should be able to debut on the market by the end of 2020. This vehicle aims to be the most successful commercial vehicle of the Arese brand.
The Alfa Rome Tonale will come in a plug-in hybrid version sharing the same unit as the Jeep Renegade. The latest rumors would seem to suggest that Alfa Rome Tonale will be available in dealerships by the end of 2020.
The goal is to make it the best-selling vehicle in the Alfa Romeo range, thus finally reaching the target of 400,000 automobiles sold in a year.
Alfa has not yet released information regarding the hybrid variant and its characteristics but, if it is supposed to be shared with Jeep, then we are talking about a power expressed by the coupled thermal-electric engine of 236 hp. With this configuration, the hybrid SUV will be able to count on four-wheel drive, making it, in addition to being more efficient in terms of consumption, safer and more satisfying

On the occasion of its debut in the UK at Goodwood's "Festival of Speed", the Alfa Romeo Tonale concept was awarded the Readers' Choice Design Award at the important Auto Express Awards 2019 competition. It is a title assigned by readers of Auto Express magazine, making the recognition truly special for the design team of the FCA Style Center in Turin.
