The new Polestar 3 electric SUV will arrive in autumn

According to the Swedish manufacturer, the Polestar 3, an electric performance SUV, will debut in October 2022. The Polestar 3 is the first electric SUV from the Swedish automaker. So naturally, Polestar is entering the rapidly expanding and lucrative electric SUV market in the United States.

Autonomous driving will eventually be a reality with the Polestar 3, thanks to Luminar's cutting-edge LiDAR sensor and NVIDIA's centralized processing power. In addition, the new Polestar 3 has a range of over 600 kilometers (WLTP) thanks to its dual-motor drive and large battery.

Once the world premiere was officially set, a new film and the first official picture of the electric car were released to the public for the first time. Following its premiere in October 2022, Polestar 3 will be available for preorder in the designated launch markets. Production of the Polestar 3 electric SUV will begin in early 2023 in China and the United States.

Starting with the Polestar 3, the company has promised to release a new vehicle annually for the next three years. Polestar's goal is to be present in at least 30 new markets by the end of 2023. This is helpful for Polestar as they aim to increase global sales tenfold from 29,000 in 2021 to 290,000 by the end of 2025.

The Polestar 3 will be followed by the Polestar 4 electric SUV coupe and the Polestar 5 GT electric car. The Polestar 4 electric SUV coupe is expected to launch in 2023. The Polestar 5 is also in an advanced stage of development and is anticipated to launch in 2024. A Polestar 5 prototype will make its public debut at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, June 23-26, 2022.

Through a proposed merger with Gores Guggenheim, Inc., Polestar hopes to achieve a Nasdaq listing. Completion of the merger is anticipated during the first half of 2022.
