The Opel Zafira-e Life electric van at the Caravan Salon

The Opel Zafira-e Life electric van is available in two different lengths (4.95 meters and 5.30 meters), making it an excellent option for use as a large family van and for use by anyone who desires a more roomy electric vehicle while still benefiting from a locally emission-free drive. There are five seats in the 4.95 m long Zafira-e Life model on show at the Düsseldorf expo, but there is also an eight-seater and a luggage-friendly version of the vehicle. Two sets of sliding doors, operated by sensors, allow easy access in and out of the car—the Opel Zafira-e Life's high level of security and convenience results from integrating multiple aid systems. Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Driver Fatigue Detection, and Emergency Braking are just some of the features included.

There are two different lithium-ion battery options available to the customer: a 75 kWh battery with a range of up to 322 km and a 50 kWh battery with a range of up to 224 km. The battery's location under the trunk not only doesn't hinder storage space or access but also further reduces the vehicle's center of gravity, improving its stability in turns and when driving against the wind.

The Opel Zafira-e Life electric van makes charging as simple as driving. Each variant has multiple options for recharging, including connecting to a standard wall outlet, a fast charging station, or a home power supply. Charging the 50 kWh battery to 80 percent capacity using 100 kW DC will take around 30 minutes (75 kWh-about 45 minutes). An eight-year/160,000-kilometer warranty backs the battery. The Opel Zafira-e Life comes supplied with either a three-phase charger (11 kW) or a single-phase charger (7.4 kW), depending on the region and the available power grid.

The Opel Zafira-e Life's adaptability makes it a great candidate for conversion into an electric campervan. Expert Crosscamp builders (already at work on variants based on the Opel electric van) provide a wide range of conveniences, such as a fully functional kitchenette with cabinets, a stove, and a sink. The back bench folds out into a double bed with the flick of a finger, and the roof can be raised to create two more sleeping spaces.
