The new Opel Combo-e Cargo is now available in Europe for a starting price of 29,700 euros net. The all-electric high-roof van is a step down from the Opel Vivaro-e electric van, followed by the big Opel Movano-e later this year.

The Opel Combo-e Cargo is the first virtually similar sibling electric vehicle from Opel, Peugeot, and Citroen that may now be ordered. To refresh your memory, all three are available in cargo and vehicle configurations. In addition, Peugeot has e-Partner and e-Rifter, Opel has Combo-e Cargo and Combo-e Life, while Citroen has Berlingo Van and Berlingo. Thus, the first commercial electric vehicle model is now the Opel Combo-e Cargo. The pricing starts at 29,700 euros net.

The design specifications for all Opel Cargo models are nearly the same, thus in a nutshell: The Opel Combo-e Cargo has a well-known drive with a 100 kW electric motor and a 50 kWh battery on board, and it has a WLTP range of up to 275 kilometers. Furthermore, the electric vehicle speeds from zero to 100 km/h in 11.7 seconds, depending on the version, and has an electronically regulated peak speed of 135 km/h. In addition, the Opel van's recuperation system features two braking settings that may be selected.

When it comes to charging, the light commercial vehicle matches the well-known e-CMP models: at a DC charging station with 100 kW or more, the battery is 80 percent recharged in just 30 minutes. The Opel Combo-e Cargo is provided with a three-phase 11-kW AC charger. After that, the charging time is five hours.

The new Opel Combo-e Cargo electric minivan comes in two different lengths. The reduced variant is 4.40 meters in length with a 2.875-meter wheelbase. It is capable of transporting items up to 3.09 meters in length. The Opel Combo-e Cargo XL is 4.75 meters long, with a ten-centimeter-longer wheelbase than the lesser variant. The products to be carried can be a maximum of 3.44 meters long in this scenario. The XL variant, according to Opel, should be able to load two Euro pallets, while the standard version only has one. According to Opel, the loading volume is up to 3.8 or 4.4 cubic meters (Combo-e XL), and the weight is up to 800 kilos. There is also a trailer load capacity of up to 750 kg.

The Opel Combo-e XL electric van is also available with a twin cabin as an option. Up to four more passengers can then join the driver, but the loading compartment is proportionally smaller. A door in the divider can also be used to convey extra-long goods. In addition, Opel now provides a Grip & Go package with adaptive traction control ("IntelliGrip") for use on construction sites.

Some new and improved technology and assistance systems are expected. Drowsiness and traffic sign recognition are at the low end of the spectrum, while front collision warning systems with automated emergency braking and pedestrian detection are high. A permanent reversing camera and a camera that allows you to observe the blind area when turning right are included.

Following the Vivaro-e, which is already on the market, the Combo-e Cargo is Opel's latest all-electric light commercial vehicle. In addition, the Movano-e, Opel's next battery-electric commercial car, will be introduced this year. This implies that Opel's complete commercial vehicle range will be electrified by the end of the year.

The larger Vivaro-e uses the same electric motor from Vitesco Technologies, but the larger and heavier vehicle has a 50 kWh battery (230 kilometers of autonomy). @via Opel.
