The Polestar 6 electric roadster will arrive in 2026

Polestar has announced that it will begin manufacturing its Polestar 6 electric car. The Polestar 6, a high-performance electric roadster, will debut in production form in 2026. Starting on August 16, 2022, customers in any of Polestar's markets can visit polestar.com to schedule a time to have their automobiles built.

Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, is ecstatic about bringing the fantastic electric roadster into production after receiving cheerful customer and media feedback. The Polestar 6 electric sports car combines the thrill of open-air driving with the force of electric propulsion.

The Polestar O2 electric roadster concept debuted in March at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It is a development of the Polestar Precept regarding design, technology, and environmental goals. The Polestar 6 electric sports car is a preview of the company's aspirations for high-performance vehicles in the future.

The convertible's roof structure will be bonded aluminum, a technology developed by Polestar. Built in-house, its electric architecture is the same high-performance 800-volt design as the proven Polestar 5. This includes a top speed of 250 km/h, a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.2 seconds, and an output of up to 650 kW (884 hp) and 900 Nm from a dual-motor drivetrain.

To celebrate this launch, Polestar will manufacture 500 models of the Polestar 6 LA Concept edition. These are the only ones that will be available with the original Polestar O2 concept's "Sky" blue exterior, colorful leather interior, and 21-inch wheels.

The Polestar 6 electric roadster concept will be shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and "The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering" at Monterey Car Week in California (August 18–21, 2022).

 

Until its scheduled premiere in 2026, we won't know the Polestar 6 electric sports car's final technical specs and characteristics.
