Upon announcing on August 16 that the Polestar 6 LA Concept edition would be available for production reservations, the Swedish electric car firm received an incredible response.
The Polestar 6 electric sports car concept was shown for the first time at The Quail and Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. During the first week after the production was announced, all 500 models were sold out online.
Launching in 2026, the Polestar 6 LA Concept limited-edition version will feature a distinctive sky blue paint job and be the first of its kind. The Polestar 6 LA Concept version borrows heavily from the Polestar O2 concept car, which debuted in March of 2022, including the Sky exterior color and many of the car's other prominent features. The production run is capped at 500 electric vehicles.
The CEO of Polestar, Thomas Ingenlath, believes that the high demand for the company's outstanding electric roadster, the Polestar 6, proves that electric sports vehicles are still relevant in the modern era. Even the most ardent petrolheads can't help but be intrigued by the prospect of an open-topped electric sports vehicle.
Due to the enormous interest in the Polestar 6, the company has said it will start taking orders for the standard Polestar 6 sometime in 2022 after the first 500 LA Concept edition cars have been made.
With the addition of the Polestar 6, Polestar aims to release four more electric cars within five years, making it the most powerful and fastest electric car start-up on the market. In October 2022, Polestar will unveil its first electric SUV, the Polestar 3. In 2023, Polestar will release the Polestar 4, an electric performance SUV coupe; in 2024, they will release the Polestar 5, a four-door GT based on the Polestar Precept concept car.
