The Italian motorcycle maker Ducati is launching folding e-bikes and e-scooters with electric drives under the name Ducati Urban e-Mobility. Ducati developed these with the Italian company MT Distribution.
Seven different models are expected to be launched this year.
The vehicles are sold under the brands Ducati, Ducati Corse, and Ducati Scrambler. Depending on the model, the e-scooters should deliver between 250 and 500 watts, the e-bikes are limited to 250 watts (in accordance with Italian law) - making them suitable for most European countries.
The Cross-E is part of the Scrambler series. With wide tires is also suitable for bad roads and is sold as a Ducati Scrambler Cross-E based on the motorcycle models. The motor produces 500 watts here, the battery has 375 watt-hours, which should be enough for a range of 30 to 35 kilometers at an average speed of 15 km / h. Three driving modes can be selected, and with a double LED headlight, the Cross-E can also be used at night.
The second model, the "Pro II" is designed for the road and is offered under the core Ducati brand. In combination with the 280 Wh battery, the 350 watt motor should last for 25-30 kilometers. The tubeless 10-inch tires are flat-safe, electric disc brakes are installed at the front and rear.
The Ducati folding e-bikes will be presented in the coming weeks. Its battery will be fully integrated into the frame, and light sensors will turn the lights on automatically.
The Cross-E will be launched on June 20 and the Pro II on July 6 - hopefully at affordable prices.
The scooters will be available through the Ducati dealer network as well as through the Ducati Shop Online.
