LION Smart and Vicinity Motor Corp increase their collaboration. The LION Smart battery specialist has received a follow-up order from the Canadian manufacturer Vicinity Motor for the integration of a customer-specific battery system solution. As part of the new order, Lion Smart is to deliver 400-volt BMW battery packs and to use them in a shuttle/transit bus model from Vicinity Motor Corp. integrate. The order also includes a plug-and-play solution for integrating battery packs.
Lion Smart received an order for engineering services in the area of development and integration at the end of last year. The Canadian manufacturer hired the battery specialist to check whether the battery pack solution could be integrated into its Vicinity bus model. The contract provided for tasks in the areas of software as well as the mechanical and electrical adaptation and the integration of several 400-volt battery packs from the BMW i3 into a demo bus model.
