Renault has announced that the new Renault Twingo ZE can be ordered from mid-August, in Germany. At the market launch, the Renault Twingo ZE 100% electric city car is exclusively available as a special "Vibes" model.
The new Renault Twingo ZE "Vibes" special model has a price starting at 24,165 euros. The delivery of the Twingo ZE Vibes starts at the end of the year.
The compact 5-door with a 60 kW / 82 hp electric motor in the rear is characterized by the striking "Valencia Orange". The Vibes model has 16-inch rims in white and orange. The Twingo ZE borrows the CHAMELEON CHARGER system from the Renault ZOE. The seats have a mixed faux leather/fabric upholstery marked by light touches of orange.
The new Renault Twingo ZE has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 21.3 kWh, which allows a combined range of up to 190 kilometres according to the WLTP.

With a gross price of over 24,000 euros, the Twingo ZE is more expensive than other small electric cars. The Twingo sister model Smart EQ Forfour, which is also built by Renault in Novo Mesto, is priced at 22,600 euros.
Additional, cheaper equipment versions of the battery-powered city car will be available for order in the fourth quarter of 2020 and will be delivered in spring 2021. The Renault Twingo ZE Vibes has already been included in the "List of Eligible Electric Vehicles " and thus benefits from a 10,000 euros electric bonus in Germany.
With the Twingo ZE, Renault begins the next episode in its electrical strategy. The city electric car is one of eight purely electric and twelve electrified new models that will be on the market by 2022. The Renault Group's electrical model range already includes the compact 5-door ZOE, the Kangoo ZE delivery van, the Master ZE full-size transporter and the Twizy two-seater.
