Arnold Schwarzenegger has always been very sensitive to the topic of electric mobility. The actor and former Governor of California has a Mercedes G-Class converted to electric. Moreover, Schwarzenegger had participated two years ago in presenting a modified Hummer to work only in electric mode.

By demonstrating self-irony, Schwarzy has lent itself to a fun advertising spot that aims to raise awareness of the choice of electric cars. The video, entitled "Kicking Gas", was commissioned by Veloz, an association whose goal is to make people aware of sustainable mobility. In its approximately three and a half minutes in length, you see Schwarzenegger wearing the funny clothes of "Howard Kleiner", a fake salesman at a dealer who will do anything to convince potential (real) customers not to buy an electric vehicle.

The arguments brought by "Howard Kleiner" to the advantage of traditional cars are actually a way to express the advantages of electric cars. For example, the dubious salesperson points out that electric cars are too quiet or that without the pollution produced by petrol, it is not possible to slow down the growth of the world's population. In short, fake qualities to underline rather than the defects of traditional engines.

A very funny and must-see spot in which Schwarzenegger gladly participated since he has always been very attentive to environmental issues. At the end of the ad, Schwarzenegger feels that electric cars save money, and time and help protect the environment without compromising on driving pleasure.
