Honda has released the first shots of its fully electric concept car that the manufacturer will unveil at the Frankfurt Motor Show today. With the Urban EV Concept, Honda announces its arrival on the electric market in 2019.
The Honda Urban EV Concept is a city car that embraces the future without forgetting to dig into the heritage of the brand.
The Urban EV Concept features a minimalist dashboard with a large wooden panel on which a screen spans almost the entire width. 3.9 m long, the Urban EV Concept welcomes four passengers in a lounge spirit on two benches covered with a gray draped fabric.
Honda has not provided any technical specifications on the electric motor or the battery that equip the Urban EV Concept, but the manufacturer highlights its management system called Honda Power Manager that stores the energy from renewable energy.
Honda Urban EV Concept is equipped with the Honda's Automated Network Assistant system, which takes into account driver behavior and offers suggestions based on decisions made in the past.
Honda Motor Co. President and CEO, Takahiro Hachigo said: This is not some vision of the distant future; a production version of this car will be here in Europe in 2019”.
