Peugeot e-Expert electric van will offer up to 330 km of range

Electrification is underway at Peugeot and more generally within the PSA group. After the 100% electric version of the new 208, it is a utility van, Peugeot e-Expert, that takes the path of the zero-emission propulsion.

Like Opel Vivaro-e and Citroën e-Jumpy, it will use the EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform) multi-energy modular platform. Peugeot e-Expert will offer up to 330 km of range. The Peugeot e-Expert, produced in Valenciennes, delivers a maximum power of 100kw (134Hp) and a torque up to 260 Nm.

Peugeot announces the following performances: a maximum speed of 130  km / h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 13.1 seconds.

In terms of autonomy, Peugeot's offer allows customers to choose between two batteries: 50kWh or 75 kWh. The smaller of the two allows this utility van to have a range of 230 km, the bigger offers a range of 330 km.

Regarding the look, this 100% Peugeot e-Expert electric will look like its thermal counterpart and will be just as modular. Three lengths are available: 4.61 meters, 4.96 meters, and 5.31 meters; payload volume: up to 6.6 m3. Some small variations will still be visible: the logos will be colored to differentiate the electric version from the thermal versions.

Three driving modes are on the program: Eco which limits the power to 60 kW (82 hp) and the torque value to 190 Nm to promote autonomy, Normal with respectively 80 kW (110 hp) and 210 Nm for use daily. And finally, a Power mode, to transport heavy loads, in this case, the power and the torque value reach their maximum values: 100 kW (136 hp) and 260 Nm.

The Peugeot e-Expert electric van has a charging socket on the front left wing. Two types of on-board chargers are available. Peugeot comes standard with a 7.4 kW single-phase charger and, optionally, an 11 kW three-phase charger.

The battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km for 70% of its charging capacity.

In the summer of 2020, the Peugeot e-Expert will be available in dealerships.
