Renault has revealed the company's new electric concept, the Megane eVision. The electric car is a crossover/station wagon with a sensational design and sophisticated features. The series version will retain 95% of the concept design, and the launch will take place in 2021.

Renault Megane eVision was built on the new CMF-EV platform developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. Megane eVision has a length of 4,210 mm, the width measures 1,800 mm, and the height is 1,505 mm. The wheelbase declared by the French measures 2,700 mm, and the total weight is 1,650 kilograms.

The Megane eVision's engine has 160 kW of power (217 hp) and 300 Nm, which provides acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in less than eight seconds.

The energy required to operate the electric motor will be stored in a battery pack with a capacity of 60 kWh. Renault officials say the average mixed range will be up to 450 kilometres.

The front area of the Renault Megane eVision was also inspired by the Morphoz concept, a prototype premiered this spring. On the front, the electric prototype relies on Matrix LED headlights, and the company logo is illuminated.

Renault's upcoming electric cars will be built on the new CMF-EV (Common Module Family - Electric Vehicle) platform developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. This makes new models easier to produce with increased and optimized electrical performance. The CMF-EV platform has many advantages that distinguish it from a traditional platform. It has a smaller engine compartment and with an extended wheelbase, it gives greater spaciousness and more elegant design. With groundbreaking technologies and more powerful batteries, the CMF-EV platform will give future customers increased mileage and reduced charging time.
