The 100% electric EV version of the Kia Niro with a 64 kWh battery and real range up to 455 km officially debuts on the Italian market.

The 100% electric EV, Kia Niro, is now available in Italy, together with the HEV and plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The e-Niro and the sister e-Soul are equipped with two engines powered by two lithium batteries of different power. The most powerful is the 64 kWh lithium-ion battery, capable of autonomy of over 450 km and in the urban area of over 600 km (a smaller 39.2 kWh battery pack is also available). 

The electric Kia e-Niro is available with a larger 64 kWh (long-range) lithium battery and a smaller  39.2 kWh (mild-range) lithium battery.

The batteries of the electric Kia e-Niro can be recharged using the Combined Charging System (CCS) fast-charging system. Charging times are low:  from 20 to 80% of the capacity in just 42 minutes  (using a 100 kW fast-charger system).

The battery of the Kia e-Niro also features a heating system, designed to isolate and heat the battery while the vehicle is connected to a power outlet. minimizing the negative effects of low temperatures.

The engine of the Kia Niro EV is available with two different engines. The models equipped with the 64 kWh battery pack adopt a 150 kW (204 HP) engine, with a torque of 395 Nm: 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 167 km / h.

The version with the 39.2 kWh battery is combined with a 100 kW (136 HP) electric motor: 0 to 100 km / h in 9.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 155 km / h.

The starting price is 39,850 euros, which refers to the Kia Niro Style set-up with a 39.2 kWh battery. The price of the version with a 64 kWh battery is 44,350 euros.

When purchasing the electric Kia e-Niro you are entitled to the 7 + 7 + 7 warranty: 7 years of unlimited km warranty , 7 years of scheduled maintenance and 7 years of UVO connect services.

The top of the range is represented by the Evolution version which is enriched with full LED headlights and heated and ventilated leather seats. The equipment is completed by the JBL premium audio system and some ADAS driver assistance technologies such as blind-spot monitoring system (BCW).
