German automaker Opel has unveiled the next generation of its popular Grandland SUV, and it's electric! The all-new Opel Grandland made its world premiere at the Eisenach plant in Thuringia, Germany, where Opel CEO Florian Huettl presented the car to the workforce and media representatives.
This marks a significant shift for Opel, as the new Opel Grandland will be the brand's first-ever fully electric SUV. To accommodate the new Grandland, the Eisenach plant has been transformed into a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) production facility. It will be built alongside other Opel models on a flexible production line.
Bold Design and Impressive Electric Range
While details about the new Grandland are still limited, Opel has revealed some key features. The car is expected to boast a bold and stylish design, in line with Opel's latest design language. We can also expect a spacious and comfortable interior, perfect for families or those who enjoy long road trips.
