Citroen's new e-C4 X is an all-electric compact crossover SUV with a stylish look that sets it apart from the competition. As a follow-up to the new flagship Citroen C5 X, the Citroen e-C4 X's design pushes the boundaries of what a compact car can be, giving buyers a unique option in a crossover that combines the sporty handling of an SUV with the classic good looks of a four-door sedan.

Vincent Cobée, CEO of Citroen, is enthusiastic about the potential of the new Citroen e-C4 X because it will help the company meet its sales goals and increase its brand awareness. 2023 e-C4 X electric car is Citroen's best interpretation of what many customers have said they want as a reasonable, trustworthy, and fashionable alternative to the many hatchbacks and SUV offerings in the compact class.

The 2023 Citroen e-C4 X electric car is the second model to be sold exclusively online in various European markets, marking a significant step forward in Citroen's e-brand development. The new Citroen e-C4 X is the first all-electric mid-size sedan on the market, and it offers a unique blend of design, comfort, and space thanks to its 100 kW powertrain and a WLTP range of up to 360 kilometers. It's the perfect everyday vehicle because of its comfortable ride and roomy 510-liter trunk.

The new Citroen e-C4 X length is 4,600 millimeters, placing it between the Citroen C4 (4,360 millimeters) and the Citroen C5 X in Citroen's lineup (4,800 mm). As with the e-C4, the wheelbase is 2,670 mm. The Citroen e-C4 X is built on the same CMP platform that the Citroen e-C4 electric car is. Improved electric range and fuel efficiency directly result from the quick, sharp roofline, which helps the all-electric new Citroen e-C4 X can travel up to 360 kilometers without recharging.

When viewed from the side, the vehicle's dynamic roofline creates a beautiful fastback silhouette from the intersection of the windshield's top edge and the decklid's upper panel. The overhang in the back cleverly hides the extra length needed to load the voluminous 510-liter trunk.

The striking new LED taillights snake over the corners of the vehicle's sides and flank the trunk's opening. The vehicle's taller driving position is the result of the combination of the short front overhang and the 690 mm-diameter wheels. The distinctively rounded Citroen grille is there, as is the company's hallmark in the front end. The double-height headlights with Citroen LED light technology complement the high, horizontal bonnet with concave indentations and the distinctive chrome bars that run the length of the vehicle.

Regarding connection and entertainment, the new Citroen e-C4 X raises the bar to a new level thanks to its use of the MyCitroen Drive Plus infotainment interface, which made its debut on the Citroen C5 X premium vehicle. This new interface is very user-friendly; it includes a 10-inch high-definition screen and can be modified to suit individual preferences through widgets. Natural speech recognition is also included in the new interface, activating a digital assistant that listens for the phrase "Hello Citroen," interprets what is being spoken, and responds to and acts on voice requests. Vehicle systems, including climate control, audio media, telephone, and connected voice services, will all benefit from the system's enhanced natural language recognition capabilities, including the ability to interpret and respond to orders in 20 different languages.

There is room for up to eight different profiles, and each can be associated with two other phones for seamless wireless recognition whenever a driver enters the car. The system also has TomTom's over-the-air map update service, which regularly updates the navigation maps to the most recent versions. Two USB ports are located in the lower center console, while the other two are located in the back for easy access by passengers. There is a type A USB socket and a type C USB socket.

In the Citroen e-C4 X electric car, you can use the MyCitroen app on your phone to check the charge level and range at any time, schedule a delay in charging, and even warm or cool the cabin ahead of time. The e-C4 X is compatible with Apple CarPlay (with SIRI voice control) and Android Auto, plus it has built-in wireless networking. You may safely use these apps while driving because they are visible on the main screen.

Because of the one-of-a-kind design, the trunk can hold 510 liters of luggage. The trunk lid opens wide and high on hinges below the rear window. Lifting heavy suitcases into and out of the trunk is a breeze. Additional goods can be stored under the boot floor, and charging cables can also be routed there. The backseats can be folded forward to increase cargo capacity.

Wide and welcoming, the Advanced Comfort chairs are padded with a proprietary foam that is 15 mm thick for maximum comfort. It's like riding in a plush recliner that holds you in place and cushions you from the road's imperfections. The high-density foam at the chairs' foundation makes even long trips bearable. Comfort may be maximized by heating the roomy rear seats, while the front seats can be heated and outfitted with a massaging function.

Driver and passengers alike are blissfully unaware of the well-known Advanced Comfort suspension's presence, yet it plays a crucial role in keeping everyone relaxed on the road. Mechanical brakes are not used in this system; instead, two progressive hydraulic shock absorbers (one for compression and one for decompression) work in tandem with the shock absorber and spring (or rebound).

A huge panoramic sunroof that can be opened electrically is also an option. It has a sunblind that gives you complete control over the amount of light that enters the cabin without compromising on the rear-seat legroom.

The new e-C4 X electric car from Citroen features extensive storage options in the big trunk and throughout the cabin. The 39 liters of storage space provided by the bag's 16 open or closed compartments is optimized for convenience and ease of usage.

The Citroen e-C4 X's Smart Pad Support makes it an excellent option for passengers looking for a place to prop up an iPad or other tablet device. The passenger may make the most of their time in transit with the help of a sturdy, secure, and functional extending system that is built into the dashboard. Underneath, you'll find a spacious, cushioned drawer. It is provided with a unique anti-slip surface to make keeping personal treasures and fragile objects more accessible and safer.

The new Citroen e-C4 X electric car is unique in the mainstream compact car sector with its crossover design concept. It's the only vehicle of its kind, and for a reasonable price, to combine the sophistication of a fastback with the ruggedness of SUV-inspired aesthetic cues and the grace of a four-door. With the Citroen e-C4 X electric car, you can go wherever you like without worrying about emissions or being prevented from entering certain areas.

The Citroen e-C4 X's efficient, emission-free electric powertrain provides a WLTP range of up to 360 km and near-silent operation thanks to its low drag coefficient. The 100 kW electric drive is robust and vibrant no matter the driving conditions: 136 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque are available at all times. A Li-ion battery pack with a 50 kWh capacity and 400 V voltage is on hand.

By increasing the vehicle's deceleration without hitting the brake pedal, the driver can increase the range by recovering energy that would otherwise be wasted through regenerative braking, extending the driving time between charges. The mode selector switch in the center console allows the driver to choose between three driving modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport). Eight years or 160,000 kilometers at 70 percent charge capacity is guaranteed.

The Citroen e-C4 X can be quickly charged at home or using one of many public charging stations. An 80 percent charge may be achieved in 30 minutes at a public charging station equipped with a 100 kW DC fast charger, allowing a top charging speed of about 10 km/min. Charging with the optional 11kW onboard charger and a 32 amp wall box takes 7.5 hours on single-phase electricity and only 5 hours on three-phase power.

When it comes to internal combustion engines, customers can choose from Citroen's tried and true PureTech petrol engines or BlueHDi diesel engines in the new Citroen C4 X. The C4 X is a key growth factor in the company's efforts to expand internationally. All future models of the Citroen C4 X, including the electric version, will be assembled in the Stellantis plant in Madrid, Spain. A release to the market is scheduled for the beginning of 2023.
