Lotus launched a unique configurator for Evija, the first 100% electric hypercar. The manufacturer offers the possibility for each customer to customize their Evija model, through an application that will allow them to view each change.
This year it will launch its first 100% electric hypercar - Lotus Evija.
The exclusive nature of this 2,000hp two-seater promises the future owner a unique experience. Every aspect of the new Evija can be customized, from the combination of colours for the exterior to the smallest detail of the interior - everything is part of the ordering process.
Production of Lotus Evija will start by the end of 2020, and the first lot has already been designated to customers worldwide.
The starting point for achieving the specifications is the new touch-screen configurator. Created especially for Lotus, this ultra-powerful graphics processor creates high-definition animated images. Developed using game software, it allows the buyer to customize their own car from scratch and be able to view each change.
The customer can see how light influences the choices made. The final ingredient is to make a custom film for each customer, which shows the car "360-degree fly-through".
This configurator is just one of the elements of the Evija experience. At regular intervals, throughout the procurement process, each client will receive a unique gift from Lotus, which will reflect the technical nature and exclusivity of the Evija model.
Simon Clare, Executive Director, Global Marketing, Lotus, said:
"We know every customer journey will be unique and our highly experienced customer relations team is ready to support any requests. With state-of-the-art digital tools such as the new configurator, we can accommodate customer preferences and requirements from anywhere in the world at the touch of a button."
