The new Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor from 42,000 euros

Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor's battery capacity has been increased. As a result, polestar can enhance the power of the battery cell chemistry by 5 kWh to a total of 69 kWh without affecting the vehicle's weight.

Polestar's cars are constantly evolving. Along with regular over-the-air upgrades, clients benefit from hardware advancements.

The new 69 kWh battery adds around 30 kilometers of range, bringing the overall range of the Polestar 2 to 470 kilometers. The bigger battery adds no weight. Additionally, the Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor produces 231 hp/170 kW and 330 Nm of torque.

Additionally, the charging capacity has been increased. As a result, the charging speed for DC fast charging has been enhanced to a maximum of 130 kW, and the charging curve has been adjusted to sustain more excellent charging rates for a longer time.

"Because the base model Polestar 2 has been so successful, we can provide an updated battery earlier than anticipated," Mike Whittington, Polestar Global Sales Manager electromobility, explains.

Germany was one of the first markets in Europe to receive the enhanced Polestar 2. Polestar is therefore reacting to Germany's increasing demand for electric automobiles. In Germany, the entry-level Polestar 2 model is trendy, to the point that the 64 kWh form is nearly sold out. However, the remaining 64 kWh electric vehicles will continue to be sold on the internet.
