Volvo is known for making safe and reliable cars, but the Swedish automaker is also making waves in the electric vehicle (EV) market. The latest addition to its EV lineup is the Volvo EX30, a compact crossover that combines innovative technology, smart storage, and plenty of space for families.

The Volvo EX30 is based on the CMA platform, which is shared with other Volvo models like the Volvo XC40 and Polestar 2. The EX30 has a sleek and modern design, with a distinctive grille, LED headlights, and a roof spoiler. The Volvo EX30 also features a large panoramic sunroof that lets in natural light and gives a sense of openness.

The interior of the EX30 is spacious and comfortable, with room for five passengers and their luggage. The EX30 has a generous cargo capacity of 452 liters, which can be expanded to 1,328 liters by folding down the rear seats. The Volvo EX30 also has smart storage solutions, such as a hidden compartment under the floor, a removable waste bin in the center console, and a foldable hook in the glove box.

The Volvo EX30 is equipped with a range of innovative technologies that make driving easier and safer. The EX30 has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EX30 also has a wireless charging pad for smartphones, a head-up display that projects key information on the windshield, and a 360-degree camera system that helps with parking and maneuvering.

The Volvo EX30 also comes with Volvo’s advanced driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and collision avoidance. The EX30 also has Volvo’s Pilot Assist feature, which can semi-automate steering, acceleration, and braking on highways.

The Volvo EX30 is powered by a 75 kWh battery pack that delivers an estimated range of 420 km (261 miles) on a single charge. The EX30 can be charged at home or at public charging stations using a Type 2 or CCS connector. The EX30 can also support fast charging up to 150 kW, replenishing 80% of the battery in about 40 minutes.

The Volvo EX30 has a dual-motor setup that produces 300 kW (402 hp) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque. The EX30 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph). The EX30 also has an all-wheel drive system that enhances traction and stability in different road conditions.

The Volvo EX30 is expected to launch this year, with a starting price of around €50,000 ($56,000). The EX30 will compete with other compact EV crossovers, such as the Tesla Model Y, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Volkswagen ID.4.

The Volvo EX30 is a great choice for families who want an EV that offers innovation, space, and performance. The EX30 is part of Volvo’s ambition to become an all-electric brand by 2030 and reduce its carbon footprint by 40% by 2025. @via Panorica.
