In a couple of years, Xiaomi launched several models of low - cost electric bikes on its Youpin crowdfunding platform. This marketing strategy brings good results - each new product attracts the attention of customers. The company recently started selling an Himo Z16 electric bike for $ 352. At first glance, it is not much different from competitors, but a more thorough analysis reveals interesting details.

Himo Z16 has an aluminium alloy frame with integrated lights and a rear suspension. Its weight is 22.5 kg, the weight of the cyclist is limited to 100 kg.

The new Xiaomi bike has pedals, handles and a frame. For the convenience of its transportation when folded, magnetic clamps are provided. On the left side of the steering wheel is an LCD display that meets the IPX7 requirements for moisture protection. It displays technical data and current information about the trip.

When driving only on electric mode, the travel range at a speed of 15 km / h without recharging will be 55 km. If you move in the pedal-assist mode, this figure will increase to 80 km. In addition, the bike is equipped with a regenerative braking system that replenishes the energy reserve.

So far, Himo Z16 is available through the Youpin platform only in China. Practice shows that most of Xiaomi's low-cost electric bikes are quickly being introduced to the international market. Source: xiaomiyoupin.com.
