The New Dacia Spring: Electrifying Affordability with Unmatched Appeal

Dacia has long been a pioneer in bringing practical, affordable, and efficient vehicles to the masses. The introduction of the all-electric Dacia Spring continues this tradition, offering an attractive blend of affordability, practicality, and modern features. First launched in 2021, the Spring quickly captured the hearts of eco-conscious drivers, becoming the third most sold electric car to individuals in 2022 and 2023. As Dacia unveils the new and improved Spring, it promises to elevate the driving experience while maintaining its core appeal: making zero-emission mobility accessible to everyone.

A Bold New Design

The 2024 Dacia Spring exudes a robust and assertive style, drawing inspiration from the latest generation of Duster. The exterior design is characterized by clean, structured volumes and a powerful look. The hood is highly sculpted, and the car features Dacia’s iconic Y-shaped light signature with full-LED daytime running lights at the front and distinctive parking lights at the rear. This modern aesthetic is complemented by the addition of 15-inch wheels and unique stickers on the Extreme trim, enhancing the vehicle's overall robust feel.

Inside, the Dacia Spring has undergone a complete transformation. The dashboard now boasts a customizable 7-inch digital display and a 10-inch multimedia central screen in the upmarket models. The interior design emphasizes practicality and durability, with full-body white elements and various trim-specific accents adding a touch of freshness and sophistication. The innovative YouClip accessory mount system, available on the 2024 Spring, further enhances the vehicle’s versatility, allowing drivers to attach various accessories conveniently.

Enhanced Driving Dynamics and Agility

The new Dacia Spring is not just about looks; it also delivers an improved driving experience. The vehicle now features a height-adjustable steering column, a new steering wheel for better grip, and retuned electric power steering for more precise handling. Additionally, the Spring's turning radius remains one of the shortest in the market, making it incredibly maneuverable in urban settings.

A significant upgrade is the introduction of the new B (Brake) mode, which maximizes regenerative braking. This mode allows the driver to recover more energy during deceleration, enhancing the vehicle's overall efficiency. Combined with the vehicle's lightweight design – it remains the only full-electric car in Europe weighing under one tonne – these features contribute to the Spring's impressive energy efficiency of 13.5 kWh/100 km for the 65 hp engine variant.

Practicality Meets Innovation

Dacia has always prioritized practicality, and the new Spring is no exception. It offers the best storage capacity in its class, with a boot volume of 308 liters (1,004 liters with the rear seats folded down). Additional storage options, such as a double glove box and door bins, ensure that drivers have ample space for their belongings. The central console features a flexible 3D-printed cup holder, demonstrating Dacia's commitment to resource-efficient design.

The vehicle's charging capabilities are equally impressive. The standard 7 kW AC charger can fully charge the battery in less than 11 hours on a domestic outlet, or in just 4 hours on a 7 kW wall box. For those needing faster charging, an optional 30 kW DC charger can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes.

A Commitment to Sustainability

The new Dacia Spring continues to excel in sustainability, with a 5-star rating from Green NCAP in 2022 for its energy efficiency and low environmental impact. This recognition underscores Dacia's efforts to provide environmentally friendly vehicles without compromising on performance or affordability.

The new model also includes a bidirectional charger, allowing the car to act as an energy source for electrical devices, adding a practical dimension to its eco-friendly credentials. This feature, standard on the Dacia Spring Extreme trim, reflects Dacia's innovative approach to making electric vehicles more versatile and useful for everyday life.

Conclusion

The new Dacia Spring is a testament to Dacia's ability to evolve and improve while staying true to its core values of affordability, practicality, and efficiency. With its bold new design, enhanced driving dynamics, and a host of innovative features, the Spring is set to remain a favorite among those seeking a cost-effective, environmentally friendly mode of transportation. As the most affordable all-electric car in Europe, the Dacia Spring continues to make zero-emission mobility accessible to a wide audience, reinforcing its position as a key player in the electric vehicle market. @via Dacia.
