Peugeot has just updated the ranks of its SUV range with the presentation of the new Peugeot 2008. In addition to gasoline and diesel mechanics, it will be the brand's first SUV to receive a 100% electric propulsion system. This new electric SUV will be manufactured at the Vigo plant in Spain and will reach the market at the end of 2019.
It also takes a step forward in technology and security.
On an aesthetic level, the design of the new Peugeot 2008 keeps a certain relationship with the recently presented 208, with attractive and distinctive lines.
The 100 kW engine offers instant acceleration thanks to the engine torque delivered immediately (260 Nm), as well as the pleasure of driving in a supple, powerful and quiet way. The new PEUGEOT e-2008 electric SUV benefits from a high voltage battery with a capacity of 50kWh that can ensure a range of up to 320 km (WLTP).
The interior of the Peugeot e-2008 benefits from the latest update of the i-Cockpit. Peugeot 2008 uses soft plastics on the dashboard and leather or Alcantara in areas such as seats. The i-Cockpit system offers intuitive ergonomics, with its compact steering wheel, 10 "capacitive HD touch screen and fully configurable 3D digital dashboard instrumentation.
The habitability in the rear seats makes 2008 an especially versatile SUV. Its length of 4.30 m and its wheelbase of 2.60 m also give it a trunk volume of 434 liters, regardless of the engine chosen, even in the case of 100% electric.
Among the main driving aids, the Drive Assist stands out with the help of active lane maintenance or the adaptive speed controller with Stop & Go function, park assist, automatic emergency braking, active involuntary lane change alert, fatigue detector, recognition of road signs or dead angle control.
