The new SsangYong Korando e-Motion has an electric motor that generates 140 kW (190 hp) and 360 Nm of maximum torque powered by energy stored in a 61.5 kWh lithium-ion battery supplied by LG Chem. This Chinese electric SUV claims a range of 349 kilometers. It has a top speed of 156 km/h and is sold only with front axle traction.

The new SsangYong Korando e-Motion electric SUV has an entirely new, distinct appearance, with a new and fresh front look that retains the SsangYong aesthetic found in the Tivoli and Rexton models. In profile, the Ssang Yong car's family appeal is emphasized by a strong contour, powerful lines, and prominent wheel arches, as seen in recent versions. Korando has been in production for 37 years and is currently in its fourth generation, with its characteristic SsangYong heritage evolving to produce a distinctive aesthetic. The shiny chrome black grille completes the Korando model's strong electric SUV image. In addition, the dynamic lines in the rear and side pillars lend a sleek and sophisticated appearance to the Korando.

The interior design exemplifies modern elegance and high-quality finishing. The metallic accents, enormous LCD panels, excellent ambient lighting, and luxury leather chairs contribute to the overall atmosphere (optional). It is a blend of aesthetics and technology seen in modern reference car interiors intended to please and spoil the driver. The new Korando e-Motion's spacious cabin pampers you with luxury materials while shielding you from the clamor and bustle of the outside world. The precisely created features, from the best quality seats to the ambient lighting in 34 selectable colors, combine to a luxurious interior environment with the 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.

The new SsangYong Korando e-Motion has two trim levels known as Urban and Limited. The Urban version features LED headlights, an alert and lane assistance, pre-collision warning, Smartbeam, a rear camera, a signal reader, LED fog lights, ISOFIX anchors, a rain sensor, adaptive cruise control, and hill-start assist.

Automatic climate control, keyless entry, a boot button, tinted glass, digital instrumentation, an 8-inch sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a DAB radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, an LED pack inside, and other features are all standard.

The SsangYong Korando e-Motion Limited version adds to the above features: the front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot and reverse control, unique body details, heated seats, sliding sunroof, leather upholstery, heated steering wheel, etc.

The new SsangYong Korando e-Motion electric SUV will compete with the Volkswagen ID.4 and the Citroen e-C4, among other models. However, the price factor will be decisive to differentiate itself from the competition.

The recommended prices without including discounts are the following:

  • SsangYong Korando e-Motion Urban from 36.000 euros - 140 kW (190 hp).
  • SsangYong Korando e-Motion Limited from 39.000 euros - 140 kW (190 hp).
