Mexico City has commissioned 63 battery-powered trolleybuses from Chinese manufacturer Yutong. 40 of the buses have already been delivered, the remaining 23 will follow in December.

These are O-buses that also have a battery to cover up to 100 kilometers on overhead lines. In the message, Yutong also speaks of a "dual drive" - but the vehicles no longer have a burner, it is rather the double drive from battery-electric and overhead line components.

Claudia Sheimbaum, Mayor of Mexico City, attaches great importance to O-buses for improving public transport and the environment. "To improve the accessibility of the city, we need to improve public transport," Sheimbaum said. "Therefore, we will increase the number of electric vehicles in the city."

Yutong refers to Mexico as one of the key foreign markets for the company. For this reason, the vehicles were specially adapted to the local operating conditions after a detailed inspection, but concrete measures are not mentioned. A technician team should set up the service on-site, and there should be numerous training courses on maintenance, accessories and handling of the buses.

Yutong also dispatched teams of technology, service and accessories to provide good technical support for vehicles. In addition, in order to ensure the long-term and stable operation of the vehicle, Yutong has also carried out trainings on driving, maintenance, and accessories for many times, and set up a parts warehouse to relieve customers' worries.

The vehicle is equipped with the Yutong E-BUS Manager telematics system, which can provide customers with intelligent fleet management services to ensure that the vehicle can operate efficiently.
