In 2023, the Peugeot e-208 electric car will undergo a significant technical upgrade. With the new Peugeot e-308's engine installed, it will have more power and lower fuel consumption. The range is increased to as much as 400 kilometers, the engine power is increased from 136 hp to 156 hp, and the energy consumption is decreased to just kWh, which is excellent news for customers.

Features that will be standard on the 2023 Peugeot e-208 electric car include:

  • A new electric engine producing 115 kW/156 hp and 260 Nm of torque
  • A 51 kWh, 400V high-voltage battery (48.1 kWh usable capacity)

Engineers focus on finding the sweet spot between battery weight and output for maximum efficiency. The reduced energy use of just 12 kWh per 100 km extends the vehicle's range and saves the buyer money.

The reduction gear helps extend the e-208's range and guarantees an appropriate acceleration for electric motors.

Additionally, "A+" energy-saving tires assure minimal friction and rolling resistance, and a highly efficient heat pump optimizes heating and cooling efficiency.

The three-phase 11 kilowatts (kW) onboard charger is soon to be the norm in the market, and a full charge from a 100 kilowatt (kW) public charging station takes less than 25 minutes.

Consumers can expect to see the new Peugeot e-208 sometime in spring 2023.
