Endesa has just launched the fifth edition of its Electric Mobility Plan for Employees, to promote the use of electric vehicles.

This has been announced by Endesa in a statement in which it details that, although the sales figures of the electric car do not reach 2% in the whole of Spain, the market for this type of vehicle is doubling year after year.

Six out of every 100 electric cars sold in Spain during the time that the Endesa Plan is in play, which was launched in 2015, have been acquired by company workers. Andalusia is the third autonomous community with the greatest acceptance of this plan.

In these four years, the private electric cars of the Endesa employees have traveled more than 23 million kilometers and have avoided the emission into the atmosphere of more than 3,400 tons of CO2 recurrent each year, as well as the emission of particles and NOx, thus contributing to the improvement of air quality in cities, according to the company.

The new edition of the Electric Mobility Plan for Employees includes agreements with different manufacturers of electric cars, so that the employee can choose between the seven models that have been offered. All models are 100% electric and with approved autonomies of up to 450 kilometers, in some cases.

In addition, participants can opt for an economic incentive granted by the company. Employees also have the support of a project office, created since the first edition, to meet all requests for information, accompany the employee and solve all their doubts during the process.

The company aims to electrify half of its corporate fleet - operational, commercial and representation - in three years, which means that, by 2021, it will have more than 400 pure electric vehicles.
