Polestar Precept is going to the UK for the first time since the unveiling in 2020 and will be seen during the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Precept will be Polestar's main attraction during the festival, along with the Polestar 1 hybrid car and the Polestar 2 fully electric car.
Precept was unveiled in March 2020 to showcase the future of Polestar's design, technology and sustainable ambitions. Later in the year, Polestar confirmed that Precept will be produced in the future. The project has now been launched to bring the stunning electric car to market.
"We are excited to show Polestar Precept to the British at this iconic festival," said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar. "It is not only great to present the car to a new audience, but also our British R&D team, based in Coventry and leading the development of the project."
In addition to Precept, Polestar's exhibition will include the Polestar 1 limited edition presented during the Shanghai Auto Show and the award-winning Polestar 2 electric car. For the first time in the festival's history, it will be possible to test drive the Polestar 2 on a closed circuit.
The Polestar stand is located on the main field, directly behind the First Glance Paddock.
“Goodwood is a special event for us,” continues Thomas Ingenlath. “The dynamic preview of the Polestar 1 was a prototype ride on the hill in 2018. This year we're celebrating the end of production of our Polestar 1 with the new gold special edition. And don't worry, we also have a surprise in store for the Polestar 2."
