Following in the footsteps of the Enyaq, Skoda has unveiled its latest electric offering, the Elroq. This sleek and practical SUV promises a thrilling driving experience with an impressive range and innovative features. Let's peel back the camouflage and see what the Elroq has in store for eco-conscious drivers.
Powertrain Options for Every Need
Built on the versatile MEB platform, the Elroq caters to a variety of driving styles with four distinct powertrain options. The Elroq 50, the entry-level model, boasts a 170 hp motor and a 55 kWh battery, perfect for daily commutes. Stepping up, the Elroq 60 offers 204 hp and a 63 kWh battery, striking a balance between power and range.
For those seeking a sportier edge, the Skoda Elroq 85 and 85x pack a punch. Both equipped with an 82 kWh battery, they deliver 286 hp and 299 hp respectively. The 85x boasts an all-wheel drive for added control in all weather conditions.
Impressive Range and Speedy Charging
Range anxiety? Not with the Elroq. The two most powerful variants, the 85 and 85x, can travel a remarkable 560 km on a single charge (based on WLTP cycle), putting them amongst the leaders in the electric SUV segment. All models support both AC and DC charging, with the Elroq 85 and 85x reaching up to 175 kW for a quick top-up. In just 28 minutes, you can go from 10% to 80% charge, keeping you on the road and minimizing downtime.
Spaciousness and Practicality: A Skoda Hallmark
Despite being slightly shorter than the Skoda Enyaq, the Elroq retains the brand's DNA for practicality. The roomy cabin offers ample legroom and headroom for passengers. The impressive 470-liter boot expands to a cavernous 1,580 liters with the rear seats folded, perfect for weekend getaways or hauling cargo. Classic Skoda touches like hidden storage compartments throughout the cabin, totaling 48 liters, add to the car's functionality.
Modern Solid Design: A Bold New Look
The Elroq marks the debut of Skoda's next-generation design language, "Modern Solid." This aesthetic is evident in the car's striking front fascia, featuring the "Tech-Deck Face." This modern interpretation of the grille incorporates dark glass and a flatter, wider profile, housing the car's sensors seamlessly.
The clean lines and simplicity extend to the interior, echoing the spacious feel. The familiar 5-inch digital cockpit from the Skoda Enyaq merges with a large 13-inch central touchscreen for intuitive control and clear information display. For an extra layer of sophistication, an optional head-up display with Augmented Reality visualization adds to the driving experience.
Debut on the Horizon
The Skoda Elroq is poised for its world premiere in October, with orders opening shortly thereafter. Skoda anticipates delivering the Elroq to customers in the first quarter of 2025.
With its impressive range, powerful options, practical design, and innovative features, the Skoda Elroq is a compelling choice for drivers seeking a feature-rich electric SUV. Stay tuned for further updates as we inch closer to the official launch. @VIA Skoda.
