The hybrid system is paired with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (CVT) that optimizes the power delivery and efficiency of the vehicle. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) models with the same engine and battery combination have an estimated rating of 40 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. The plug-in hybrid models have an estimated 94 mpg-equivalent (MPGe) rating in combined driving.
Safety and technology features
The 2024 Toyota C-HR is not only efficient but also safe and smart, thanks to its array of advanced driver assistance features. The crossover comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, road sign assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. The 2024 Toyota C-HR also offers optional features such as a blind spot monitor, parking assist, head-up display, wireless charging, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
