The 2025 ArcFox 77° Concept from BAIC Group debuted at the Auto China show in Beijing, grabbing attention for its focused execution of high-performance electric mobility. This concept car is a strategic display of BAIC’s growing ambitions in the global EV segment.

ArcFox, BAIC's premium EV sub-brand, designed this concept as a technology demonstrator, aiming to boost its innovation credentials and challenge existing luxury EV players. Built with aerodynamic efficiency, high power output, and an ultra-modern design language, the ArcFox 77° makes a clear statement: BAIC is ready to compete at the top of the electric performance market.

Exterior Design: Purpose-Driven and Polar-Inspired

The ArcFox 77° Concept’s bodywork takes its cues from nature and science. Inspired by polar light formations and glacial structures, the vehicle uses sharp creases and minimalist surfacing to communicate speed and intent.

Key exterior features include:

• Butterfly-style scissor doors, adding dramatic flair and easy access
• Low-slung front with minimal overhangs, improving airflow and road-hugging aesthetics
• Full-width front and rear LED lighting, aiding both visibility and design cohesion
• Floating roof design with a panoramic canopy, maximizing light and driver visibility
• 23-inch lightweight carbon composite wheels, wrapped in ultra-low-profile tires

The all-carbon-fiber body panels reduce overall weight while improving rigidity, safety, and manufacturing scalability. Flush door handles and side cameras replace traditional mirrors, reducing drag and improving the coefficient of friction to an estimated 0.21 Cd.

Interior Design: Modular, Minimalist, and AI-Centered

The cabin combines space optimization and digital customization, bridging the design gap between MPVs and super coupes. Inside, everything is software-defined, using smart surfaces, retractable elements, and motion-based interaction to adapt to the occupant’s intent.

The ARC-FLOW design philosophy, coined by Anthony Lo (formerly of Renault and GM), emphasizes smooth surfaces, smart transitions, and a dynamic interface ecosystem. Every control—climate, audio, driving, or ambient—can be accessed with a voice command or a single swipe.

Performance and Powertrain

This concept is not a styling exercise; it’s engineered for track-level performance. The ArcFox 77° houses a quad-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system capable of precise torque vectoring across all four wheels.

The lightweight honeycomb aluminum core and carbon shell structure keep the weight low while offering 5-star crash test rigidity. Six-piston Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes offer fade-resistant stopping power during repeated high-speed braking.
