Kia has provided details on EV9's final testing schedule, which is now underway in many countries. Kia hopes to completely transform the large SUV market with its upcoming all-electric vehicle, which will debut in the first quarter of 2023 and immediately become the benchmark by which all others are measured in terms of style, power, range, handling, connectivity, and comfort. The Kia EV9 electric SUV is meant to further the brand's reinvention and bolster the company's position as a pioneer in the emerging environmentally friendly electric transportation sector.
Developed over a period of 44 months, the model is undergoing rigorous testing encompassing all areas of the electric SUV at Kia's worldwide R&D headquarters in Namyang, Korea. The Kia EV9 electric SUV will be put through its paces in various extreme conditions during this final testing phase, including an off-road program designed to demonstrate the vehicle's ability to scale obstacles, navigate rough terrain, and proceed reliably when driving through deep water, among other things. Performance and road-holding are the focus on high-speed courses as well as on test tracks with slippery surfaces. The EV9, like all new Kia models, has endured rigorous endurance testing, both in Namyang and elsewhere.
The Kia EV9 Concept electric SUV was revealed at the end of last year at the AutoMobility LA in Los Angeles and gave a first look at the new flagship of the Kia electric vehicle line. The Kia EV9 electric SUV is the brand's second battery-electric production model after the Kia EV6, released last October. The multi-award-winning electric crossover was selected as Europe's "Car of the Year 2022" and got the top honor "Best of the Best" in the renowned Red Dot design competition. Like the Kia EV6, the Kia EV9 embodies the company's fundamentally new design language. And like the crossover, the electric SUV is based on the pioneering new electric platform E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) (Electric-Global Modular Platform).
