BYD, the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles, is planning to open a European factory. Recent reports have indicated that the Chinese are considering making a bid to purchase the Ford facility located in Saarlouis, Germany. According to the company's declarations, the business's primary option is constructing an entirely new plant.

Stella Li, executive vice president of BYD, stated that the company does not concentrate on the assets of individual enterprises. Stella Li said BYD is more interested in constructing its plants than acquiring other companies' factories. Studies of feasibility are currently being carried out to locate the optimal option.

According to Stella Li, BYD plans to build strong sales and dealer networks and service centers in Europe to ensure that consumers continue to trust the brand, even if "there are no target countries for plant development yet".

The growth of BYD's operations in Europe is now underway. In the subsequent stage, the Chinese ambition is to serve Germany and Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, France, and Great Britain in addition to Germany. In the beginning, customers will be able to choose from three different models: the BYD Han EV premium sedan, the huge BYD Tang EV SUV, and the BYD Atto 3 compact SUV. The portfolio will include the BYD Seal, a mid-range sedan in the future. The compact car known as the Dolphin may make its way to Europe. As early as 2026, BYD plans to sell a six-figure number of electric vehicles in Germany. The company's long-term goal is to secure a ten percent share of the pure Stromer market as rapidly as possible.

BYD is constructing its first production facility in Asia to produce electric vehicles in Thailand, with sales to customers in Australia, Japan, and Singapore. In addition, the corporation has an assembly line located in India. The United States of America and Latin America are also on the Chinese government's list.

BYD, which already has plants producing automobiles and its batteries and chips, is considering establishing a battery plant in a country other than China. According to Li, the objective is to establish an independent global supply chain that will be able to support all of the group's facilities.
