The MINI Electric is now close to debut. BMW is relying heavily on this model that electrifies one of its most iconic brands.

The official presentation will be held on July 9th, but reservations have already been opened in Norway, Germany, France, Holland and Sweden. BMW is also evaluating the interest of customers in America, England, Italy and Spain.

There are not many details of this electric car, but the German manufacturer wanted to whet the curiosity by releasing a video teaser dedicated to the car in which the MINI appears in passing in some scenes.

From what little is known, the electrified variant of the MINI would have three doors. The powertrain should be the same as the BMW i3. There are no mentions on the battery pack but it is possible that it is always the same as the iconic electric car from BMW.

The MINI Electric would, therefore, be configured as a car designed primarily for the city environment. Indeed, the same video teaser shows the car in action within an urban environment.

A lot more will be known in a few weeks when BMW will debut its new electric car, which will surely wink at young people and lovers of a brand that is very fashionable today.

The new electric car of the German automotive group is expected to go into production in the UK and China. It will be available in Europe by the end of the year.
