Mercedes-Benz is currently working on the first electric car that uses modular electrical architecture (MEA).
With Mercedes-Benz EQS, Daimler is planning a flagship that is at the level of an S-Class. Thanks to the coupé body and a new lithium-ion battery, the range according to the WLTP standard should be over 700 km.
Daimler published details of the shareholders meeting in July on its official website, and the document includes a reference to the autonomy of the Mercedes-Benz EQS. Thus, the electric sedan will have a range of 700 kilometres.
Basically, Mercedes-Benz EQS will have a range greater than the Tesla Model S, which in its top version is "proud" with a range of 609 km WLTP.
The Germans did not provide further details about the EQS, but the range is similar to that announced for the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS.
We may still see the production version of the Mercedes-Benz EQS in 2020, but the market launch is not expected until 2021.
